EXCURSIONS

Participants are welcomed to take part in several post-conference excursions: Boat trip (23 September), and Three-day filed trip (24-26 September). Information on participation price will be provided later. Excursions schedule can be changed by the organizers under weather conditions and other circumstances.

POST-CONFERENCE FIELD EXCURSION

Sergeevka terrane as a fragment of Early Paleozoic continental margin:
composition, tectonics, and overlap Permian, Triassic, and Early Cretaceous assemblages.

Three-day field trip (24-26 September) with two nights at FEGI’s field station “Avangard” located in the area of Vostok Bay.

Preliminary schedule:

24 September - On the way from Vladivostok to the field station “Avangard”
along the east coast of  Ussuri Bay (from Golyi Cape to Bolshoi Kamen) participants visit the outcrops of overlap Permian volcanogenic and  Triassic-Early Cretaceous terrigene assemblages.

25 September - Early Paleozoic gabbroid and granitoid outcrops in the
area of De-Livron Cape and along the east coast of  Vostok Bay (western margin of Nakhodka).

26 September - Early Paleozoic granitoid and metamorphic outcrops
around Avangard Inlet. Return to Vladivostok.

BOAT TRIP

On September 23rd the visitors of Vladivostok are offered to take a fascinating sea stroll on a speedboat through the water area of the Sea of Japan bay, divided by Mouraviev-Amursky peninsula and by the group of islands into two large bays: Ussuriysky and Amursky. You will be able to admire a wonderful view of the Vladivostok City from the seaside and? If you wish you can swim in calm and comfortable bays of Popov and Russky Islands with the water, clear as crystal. During the trip you’ll feel in full measure the crispness and the force of the sea wind, enjoy the charms of the islands and of boundless waters. You’ll get a new lease of life from an unforgettable communication with the nature and with the sea world.
